If you've found your way here, there's a good chance you've looked down at your arms, legs, or body hair and wished there was another option.
I know that feeling because I lived it for most of my life.
Growing up, I was incredibly self-conscious about my dark body hair. I remember wondering if people noticed it as much as I did. I avoided certain clothes, thought twice before wearing tank tops, and constantly felt like I needed to shave or wax just to feel confident.
Like so many women, I believed those were my only choices.
Shaving. Waxing. Or spending thousands on laser hair removal. None of them ever felt like the right solution. I didn't want to remove my body hair, I simply wanted it to be less noticeable.
For years, I wished someone would create a product that made body hair softer, lighter, almost invisible, and did I mention CLEAN?!
Eventually, I realized...
If it didn't exist, maybe I needed to create it myself.
Nearly three years. Hundreds of tests. One mission... creating HaverWay wasn't something that happened overnight.
For nearly three years, I worked with multiple companies to develop a formula that actually worked, was easy to use, paraben-free and made in the U.S.A.
There were countless versions.
Lots of disappointments.
When I finally created the formula that became The Lighter Way, I knew it was more than another beauty product.
It was freedom from feeling like shaving and waxing were the only answers.
WHY HAVERWAY?
The name HaverWay is personal.
HaverWay is named after Haverton Way, the street and neighborhood where I grew up. It holds some of my favorite childhood memories and reminds me where my journey started.
When I created this brand, naming it HaverWay felt like the perfect way to honor those roots (or middle-school Jessica) while building something that helps others feel more confident every day.
WHAT I BELIEVE
I don't believe beauty should hurt.
I don't believe confidence should come with razor burn, painful waxing appointments, expensive laser treatments and filled with nasty chemicals.
Around the world, women have been lightening their body hair for decades. It's a beauty secret that's been embraced in places like Brazil & all of South America because it creates a soft, sun-kissed look without stubble.
I wanted to introduce that same idea here in the United States.
Not because everyone needs it, but because everyone deserves the choice.
